In the horse world, information is everywhere. Advice comes from friends, trainers, social media, books, and tradition. Sometimes that knowledge is incredibly valuable. Other times it can feel confusing, contradictory, or difficult to navigate.
The Equine Information Hub was created to offer a calmer space for learning about horses.
Rather than focusing on trends or quick fixes, the Hub explores the deeper questions that shape good horsemanship: how horses learn, how their bodies function, how their environment influences their wellbeing, and how thoughtful management decisions can support both horse and rider.
Many of us care deeply about our horses and want to do the best we can for them. Yet the modern horse world often moves quickly, with strong opinions and pressure to follow particular methods or systems. It can sometimes feel difficult to step back and simply ask: what does the horse need, and what does the science tell us?
The goal of The Equine Information Hub is to make that process easier.
Here you will find clear, thoughtful learning resources covering topics such as horse behaviour, welfare and care, riding and training, and the research that helps us understand horses more fully. Some of these ideas come from established equestrian knowledge, while others draw on newer scientific research or emerging discussions within the horse world.
Importantly, the aim is not to tell people there is only one correct way to work with horses. Horses are individuals, environments vary widely, and every owner works within their own circumstances. Instead, the Hub hopes to offer information that helps owners ask better questions, notice more about their horses, and make decisions with confidence and curiosity.
Learning about horses is a lifelong process. The more we observe, read, experiment thoughtfully, and listen to our horses, the more our understanding grows.
Whether you are a new horse owner, an experienced rider, or simply someone who enjoys learning more about horses, you are very welcome here.
The Equine Information Hub will continue to grow over time, with courses, articles, and resources designed to support thoughtful, horse-centred learning.
Because good horsemanship does not come from having all the answers - it comes from continuing to ask good question.
